The last group of winners from the VCHA 2015

Sue Leong accepted the Multimedia History Award for Postcards from Port: an audiovisual retrospective of Port Melbourne, DVD.

Lucy Sussex received the History Publication Award for her book Blockbuster! Fergus Hume & the Mystery of a Hansom Cab.

Fiona Poulton and Katherine Sheedy accepted the Local History - Small Publication Award for Boroondara Remembers: stories of World War 1.

Alistair Thomson won the inaugural History Article (Peer Reviewed) Award for Anzac Memories Revisited: Trauma, Memory and Oral History.  The article was published in the Oral History Review, Volume 42, Issue 1, Winter/Spring 2015, pp 1-29, Oxford University Press.

Apologies to the last three winning entries which avoided my camera lens, but warmest congratulations to them and all the winners.    It has been a big day at the Victorian Community History awards, so the next tranche of photos of those who received Commendations, will have to wait until the morrow.

The quality of the photos is not especially good, but the higher quality professional photos will become available on the Public Records Office Victoria in due course.  I will let everyone know when that happens.
