Associate Professor Don Garden, President of the RHSV, and Dr Jill Evans, Lead Curator of the new exhibition at the RHSV: Face2Face: portraits in the RHSV Collection into the 1940s, at the launch on Tuesday 18 March, 2014.
Five broad themes emerged during the selection of images for the exhibition : traditional ownership, power, social contribution, celebrity and family life. Together these portraits provide glimpses of past life in Victoria over nearly one hundred years.
The exhibition will remain on view at RHSV headquarters from 10 till 4 pm each weekday until July.
